Betagro · Thai food and protein group — One company owns the feed mill, the farm and the processing plant.

Betagro, of Bangkok, raises the animals, processes the meat and makes sausages and ready meals; its flagship brands are BETAGRO, S-Pure and ITOHAM. CGC Global represents Betagro. Start with the market: we will say whether we can supply the brand there, and on what terms.

01The brand

An animal-feed business of 1967 that became a food company.

Betagro Public Company Limited describes itself as a leading integrated food company in Thailand, serving customers at home and in more than 30 international markets. Its chain takes in feed, animal health and livestock farming, then meat, eggs and fish, then processed foods and pet food.

It says its production runs under its own Betagro Quality Management system.

02The range

Three flagship brands, from fresh meat to ready meals.

  • BETAGRO

Pork, chicken, fish, duck and eggs; sausages, ham and bacon; ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat meals, among them Thai basil pork with rice and Panang chicken curry.

  • S-Pure

Pork, chicken and eggs, which Betagro presents as its premium brand. The company says the animals are raised without antibiotics, and cites NSF certification for it.

  • ITOHAM

Sausages, ham and bacon, with Arabiki wieners as the signature. Betagro describes the brand as made with its own pork, to recipes from Japan.

What can be exported differs by product and by market.

03With CGC Global

Fresh and frozen food travels under cold chain.

  1. 01

    Represented

CGC Global represents Betagro. Supply is agreed market by market, and so are the terms.

  2. 02

    Cold chain from Thailand

Orders for Thai goods run through our Bangkok hub. Betagro’s food is sold fresh and frozen, so an order would travel under cold chain from the factory to the destination.

  3. 03

    Papers for the destination

Customs clearance, and the certifications and labelling the destination requires, are part of the export service.

05Questions

Feed or food, the other brands, and export.

Is Betagro a feed company or a food company?

Both. Feed came first, in 1967, and the company still makes it. For a food buyer the part that matters is its consumer food business: fresh and frozen chicken, pork and eggs, processed meats and ready-to-eat meals.

Does Betagro have brands besides BETAGRO, S-Pure and ITOHAM?

Yes. B-FOODS is its brand of sausages and processed foods; newer names include La Comida, for ready-to-eat charcuterie, and Meatly.

Does Betagro export its food?

By its own account, yes: export is one of the channels it lists for its food. Whether we can supply it in your market is a separate question, and the one we answer.
