Privacy notice
This website is deliberately light on data. No cookies, no advertising trackers, and we only receive personal details when you choose to send them to us.
Who we are
This website, cgchk.com, is operated by CGC Global Limited (“CGC Global”, “we”), an international food and beverage trading house headquartered in Hong Kong. For any privacy question or request, write to info@cgchk.com.
What we collect, and why
When you send the contact form. We receive what you type: which side you are on — a brand owner or manufacturer, a retailer, wholesaler or importer, or other; your name, email address, company, market or country; the trade show you would like to meet us at, if you choose one; your message; and a file if you attach one. We use it to answer you and to follow up on the business conversation you started. Nothing else.
When you send the sourcing enquiry. We receive what you choose and type: what you are looking for, the category or product, preferred origins, destination market, temperature, an indication of scale and timing, your company, name, email address and message. We use it to answer you with sourcing options. Nothing else.
When you subscribe to the Brand Radar. We receive your email address and use it to send you the Brand Radar report. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to any report or writing to info@cgchk.com.
When you browse the site. We count visits with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It records aggregate information only — the page visited, the referring site, the browser, operating system and device type, and the country — and it does not track you across websites or across days. We also record, as anonymous events, that a form was sent and what kind of enquiry it was (never a name, an address or the message itself), that an outbound link or our e-mail address was clicked, and that an address on the site led to no page.
Server logs. Like every website host, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages and to keep the service secure.
We do not buy data about you, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies and does not use local storage to identify you. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Who handles the data for us
- Formspree (Formspree, Inc., United States) receives form submissions and forwards them to our inbox by email.
- Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) provides the cookieless visit statistics; its data is stored in the European Union.
- Netlify (Netlify, Inc., United States) hosts the website and delivers it through its network.
These providers process data on our behalf, under their own published terms. Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own domain; apart from the analytics script above, the pages load nothing from third parties.
Because CGC Global and some of these providers are located outside your country, your details may be processed in other countries, including Hong Kong, Israel and the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and the related correspondence for as long as we need them to answer you and to manage our business relationship, and Brand Radar subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal details we hold about you, to correct them, or to delete them, and you can withdraw from the Brand Radar at any time. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights, including the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Write to info@cgchk.com and we will handle your request.
Changes to this notice
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
